This is my new favorite for a bath AND giving as gifts! I tried out this Strawberry-Lemonade Milk Bath recipe this summer and it was instantly my new favorite. I love fresh, citrusy scents for summer and this one couldn’t be more perfect!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Milk (get it HERE)
- 1 1/2 cups Epsom Salt (get it HERE)
- 1/2 cup Himalayan Salt (get it HERE)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Organic Strawberry Powder (get it HERE)
- 20 drops Lemon Essential Oil (get it HERE)
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Rose Petals (get them HERE)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. You can add more or less rose petals, as desired. They don’t add a lot to the smell, but they do add a nice texture in the bath and sort of look like strawberries once you package it in a jar (which just adds to the fun). I keep a large bottle on my bath tub and just dump some in for each soak. You can increase or decrease the recipe if you want to make more or less.
It looks like this as you are mixing it up.
I loooove this recipe! It leaves my skin so soft and nourished after a bath. Plus, it’s a fun and luxurious way to enjoy some alone time. But it’s also quickly become my favorite DIY to gift for friends, teachers, party hostesses, anyone really! And can we talk about the test tubes?! (See pics below) They make the perfect container for a single-serving of bath powder and they are so stinkin’ cute! I like to dress them up with a little patterned washi tape, jute ribbon, or a fun label. Here are some of the packaging goodies I have been using for making these as DIY gifts:
- Glass Test Tubes
- Kraft Gift Tags
- Burlap Gift Bags
- Burlap Ribbon
- Natural Jute Twine
- Washi Tape
- Alphabet Stamps
- Black Ink Pad
- Glass Milk Bottles
- Large Glass Jug
- Glass Mason Jars
ENJOY! This is not only a great recipe to enjoy, but a really fun one to dress up and give away. If you haven’t gotten started using essential oils yet, or you want to learn more, I have more info HERE!
