I’m a sucker for a cute basket. They are literally all over my house. Filled with plants, blankets, toys, even hiding cords under my desk! Easy way to add different textures and heights. I’m compiling several of my favorites here in one post.

Budget vs. Quality
After I took down our Christmas decorations this year, it became glaringly obvious that our fireplace and mantle needed “more”. On one side, I’m doing a couple of lanterns filled with battery-operated flameless candles. (I have several of THESE candles with a timer that I love!) And on the other side, a basket filled with soft pillows and a throw blanket. Something to make the space soft and inviting.
I actually love BOTH of these baskets, so wanted to show you a budget and quality option, depending on what you’re looking for.
I love the Serena & Lily Olema baskets. The quality is really beautiful and they are statement pieces alone. However, like any large, high quality basket, they are an investment. But I knew that I’d keep it for years and it’s super versatile. I have the Medium pictured here.
Target recently came out with THESE new Round Threshold Natural Baskets. Great price for a good sized basket and super cute! I have the Large, there’s also a Small basket (which would be so cute for a plant!). It’s not quite as large as the Serena & Lily basket, but still plenty of room for these pillows and blanket.
I think both options turned out super cute! The throw pillows and the knit blanket are recent Target finds. The pillows are super squishy, so perfect for stuffing in baskets. I actually have THESE chenille throw blankets in cream and grey. They are really soft and light enough to carry through spring. I don’t have this one, but THIS round Pottery Barn Beachcomer basket would be another great, large statement piece!

Fun Extras!
To finish up, I had to share a couple of extras that are super handy at our house! We’ve had THIS sorting basket from Pottery Barn for YEARS! I wanted something in the kitchen for our recycling so we weren’t constantly running it out to the garage, but it needed to be cute and functional. This basket is on rollers and has removable dividers. It has held up so well over the years!
I also recently grabbed THIS stair basket. Unfortunately, it does NOT help my kids take things upstairs without being asked 852 times. LOL! But it does give me somewhere to throw their junk!
