Hey, friend! I’m Kelli and I’m so pumped that you’re here! It’s better to do life with other people, am I right? Here’s a little about me. I obsessively drink coffee. It gives me life. I’m perpetually smiling. Because, why not? Big earrings are currently my jam. I mean…the bigger the better. I’m into the word-of-the-year thing. My current word is Transformation, which could not be more fitting for this stage of life. I’m super passionate about toxin-free living and love to share things we are using and doing. I love Target and plants and creating pretty space. I’m a busy, working mama, but I’ve FINALLY started to prioritize my own health and work on managing stress. It’s haaaaard, I get it!!! My kiddos are 17 and 13. Obviously from the picture, you can see I’m a carrot-top. So is my little man. My youngest isn’t, but she’s fiery enough without red hair! (Not exaggerating here, friends.)
My Journey
When my kiddos were little, I took an interest in toxin-free living. I started learning that the ingredients in our household products were not safe like I thought. Over time, I started swapping things in our home for safe, plant-based options.
On this journey, I also started noticing signs that I wasn’t taking care of myself. Despite feeling like I handled stress like a rockstar. I was a people-pleaser, said ‘yes’ too many times and pretty much thought I was invincible. I wore “busy” like a badge of honor. Anyone else feel me here? I was getting sick because my immune system was weak. I was always cranky and snapping at my family because my hormones were out-of-whack. My skin was suffering like it NEVER did when I was a teenager. Not cool! And I was always tired. Not fall-asleep-tired (no time for that) but just exhausted from the pace of life.
I started using the tools at my fingertips and things I’d learned about toxin-free living to take back my health. It’s been a journey and I’m not at the end, but I’m learning to prioritize my health and my time. I’m walking toward freedom and faith. I’ve found a tribe of ladies who fill my cup, laugh with me, and lift me up. And I’m passionate about sharing the things I’ve learned with other mamas!
As if I have time for this?!
My first thought as I explored a less processed and less toxic lifestyle was “as if I have time for this!”. One thing I’ve learned is none of us have extra time. Moms who work, moms who stay home, there isn’t enough coffee for all the things we need to get done! The more grace we can give each other, the happier we’ll all be! Over time and trials, I have found several things that work for me, things that don’t, things I make at home, things I buy elsewhere, and things I’m willing to overlook for sanity’s sake.
